Eye Lid Surgery
Eyelid surgery is one of the commonest cosmetic procedures in the UK offering a focused solution for enhancing their appearance. This is one of the most delicate areas to have surgery on with the thinnest skin & where details really impact the end result.
As we get older, for many people the skin around our eyes is the first to show signs of ageing due to it being so thin. Excess skin and fat can create a heavy looking eyelid, giving the area around the eyes a puffy or aged appearance.
The main advantage of eyelid surgery under local anaesthetic is its ability to effectively address aesthetic concerns such as drooping eyelids, under-eye bags, or wrinkles around the eyes. By performing targeted adjustments to the eyelids, this procedure can rejuvenate the eye area, leading to a more alert, youthful and refreshed appearance.
During eyelid surgery, one of our expert consultants will remove skin, fat and muscle from around your eyes as appropriate to achieve your goals. This could mean treating either the upper or lower eyelid or both.
This surgery can’t however remove crow’s feet or change the colour of dark shadows under the eyes. If you are worried about the appearance of crow’s feet and other wrinkles around the eye area, you should speak with one of our expert cosmetic surgeons about your options.
